The project consists of making a camera that is inspired by facts that encourage us to carry out a short film, they can be inspired by past, current or future experiences. The intention of this small artistic project is to study and evaluate the reaction of those people who interact with the camera in order to explore the assumptions we make about the influence of the camera in social relationships.
The design of this camera was inspired in minimalistic models that allow for ethnographers to report scenarios or situations which require to be documented while undercover. The previous experience I have in field work as an anthropologist made me decide for a discrete, small and camouflaged model that does not attract attention or divert attention while recording audiovisual projects.
More than personal, this symbolic camera is intended to represent the efficiency and discretion with which I would like to undertake all audiovisual projects that are presented in the future.
The first reason is to safeguard the privacy of the subject or interviewee.
Secondly, to prevent the presence of the camera from diverting the attention of the group or the narrative that I want to develop within it.
Third and last, to grant all the protagonist to the subjects who participated without drawing too much attention to the ethnographic reporter and his or her tools.
